When our second child arrived in 2023, our once-spacious 1,200 square foot apartment suddenly felt impossibly cramped. We were drowning in baby gear, toys, and clothing, most of which we rarely used. As the clutter mounted, so did our stress levels.

The breaking point came during a particularly chaotic evening when I tripped over a barely-used baby swing while carrying our newborn. In that moment, I realized something had to change. We couldn't afford a bigger place, but we could rethink what we truly needed.

What began as a desperate decluttering effort evolved into a complete shift in our parenting philosophy. As we donated, sold, and repurposed items, we discovered that having less actually gave our family more; more space, more peace, and more time together without the constant maintenance of possessions.
